Special steels. Unique selling offer.

In a world where strength and reliability are not just words, but a matter of safety and technological progress, high-quality metal comes to the fore.

What determines whether an aircraft will fly for decades, whether a drilling rig will withstand extreme loads, and whether a machine tool will operate without failure?

It depends on the material from which they are made.

We have direct contact with the manufacturing plant and can offer rare and hard-to-find grades that are rarely found on the open market but are in high demand among enterprises in the following industries:

• Shipbuilding

• Mechanical engineering

• Railway industry

• Energy

• Machine tool manufacturing

• Defense industry

• Aviation

• Rocket and space industry

• Chemical industry

• Instrument making

• Cryogenic equipment manufacturing

• Medical industry

• Metallurgy and metalworking

Almost all of these items are rarely found on the open market: they are produced in small batches, go to priority government and aerospace programs, and have strict quality requirements.

Therefore, Smartmetal Group Plus's availability is real access to the “shortage” in the industry.

Why are these grades so rare?
1. Complexity of production: Alloys such as EI654, EP288, and EP310 require extremely complex smelting technology, strict control of chemical composition, and special furnaces. This is an expensive and labor-intensive process, so factories cannot produce large volumes.
2. Strategic demand: These grades are in demand in strategically important industries such as aviation, space, defense, nuclear and thermal power. They are primarily used to support state programs, and only then in the civilian sector.
3. Produced in small batches: Factories are focused on government orders, defense, and energy.
4. Extremely rare in warehouses; batches are reserved in advance.
5. Limited warehouses: Even large traders usually only have “popular” steel grades in stock. Items such as 20KhNZA, 40KhH2MA, and 15Kh2GMFA are rare and require advance booking.
6. High quality requirements: Each batch undergoes strict control—checking of chemical composition, mechanical properties, ultrasonic testing, and certification.

Therefore, Smartmetal Group Plus's availability of such steels and alloys is not just a unique selling point.

It is an exclusive feature that truly opens up access to materials that are essential for production in aviation, oil and gas, energy, and mechanical engineering.

We offer the market something that even large suppliers cannot provide: rare grades of steel that are ready for use in the most severe conditions.
