Description

Polyseal 1K is a one component thixotropic polyurethane sealant (mastic) that polymerizes and cures on contact with air.

Application

Polyseal 1K is designed for jointing single and heterogeneous materials in civil and industrial construction, prefabricated elements, interior decoration, etc.

Demonstrates excellent adhesion to all common structural elements such as ceramics, cement, glass, wood, galvanized steel, etc.

Composition

Polyseal 1K is manufactured on the basis of polyurethane elastomers.

Application method

A) Joint preparation:

The joints must be dry, cleaned of dust, oils or other substances.

Previously used materials must be removed. The airtight depth shall not be less than 0,7 times the joint width, and not less than 7 mm.

B) Joint Filling:

For better adhesion, the joint should be primed beforehand.

Primer-21 shall be applied between 1 and 3 hours before grouting. Grouting is noticeable approx. Primer Primer is applied 1-2 hours after application. A period of at least 24 hours is required to reach final shape. The curing time depends on the ambient temperature and humidity.

If necessary, the depth of the joint shall be filled and fixed with expanded polyethylene rope of suitable diameter (approx. 20% greater than the width of the joint).

Product consumption

Polyseal 1K: approximate for a joint width of 2 cm and a depth of 1.4 cm -0.350 kg per 1 linear meter.

Primer-21: 0,400 kg/sq.m.

-Polymerisation produces an elastomeric polyurethane material.

-After drying Polyseal 1K retains its elasticity in temperature ranges from -20°C to +90°C.

-Polyseal 1K demonstrates outstanding resistance to ageing. It is resistant to cleaning agents, mineral oils, dilute acids and alkaline solutions. Does not affect polyurethane foam and polyethylene. Does not affect polystyrene.

Safety precautions

Polyseal 1K does not contain solvents. Avoid frequent and prolonged skin contact. Wash with soap and rinse thoroughly with water.

Storage
