Aluminum rod/circle

An aluminum rod is a semi-finished solid product with a constant cross-section along its entire length. According to GOST 25501-82, a rod is defined as a solid section where any straight line drawn between two perimeter points remains entirely within the cross-sectional area.

Aluminum rods are commonly manufactured in round form, but square, hexagonal, rectangular, and custom profiles are also available. They are supplied as straight bars or coils (for smaller diameters).

Manufacturing

The primary production method is extrusion using high-capacity hydraulic presses. Depending on requirements, the process may include:

• direct or indirect extrusion

• isothermal extrusion

• heat treatment for enhanced mechanical properties
