What is Geotextile?

Geotextile is a textile material with thick fibrous structure. It is made from natural and synthetic fibers as thermal and mechanical compaction is used for manufacturing it. Geotextile is incredibly flexible and mold resistant. It has high resistance towards bacteria, mold, rodents and vegetation roots.

What is Geotextile used for?

Geotextile is used for constructing buildings and facilities in the industrial, civil and infrastructure constructions. It has the ability to retain fine particles carried by ground and rain water. Some of its main functions are filtering of hard particles of the soil, separation the soil layers, drainage and fortification, it also makes the ground solid and compact.

Ways of applying Geotextile

It is preferred that Geotextile laying is done on a dry ground. The surface must be well cleaned from any debris and other sharp objects. For good drainage, the surface of the soil should be well leveled.
