E1 – Medical station

Road sign E1 indicates the location of a medical station, hospital, pharmacy, or first aid point. It belongs to Group E “Informational and guidance signs” and serves to inform drivers and pedestrians about the presence of medical assistance nearby.

The sign is placed at an appropriate distance before the medical facility, giving drivers sufficient time to orient themselves and take necessary actions in case of an emergency.

Visually, the sign is a blue square with a white cross or medical symbol in the center.
