Plastomeric Bitumen Mastic

Description

A cold-applied plastic bitumen mastic for horizontal and vertical sealing of joints. It forms a hard surface while remaining plastic in volume. It has good adhesion to all common building materials and can accommodate normal movement. It is resistant to cleaning agents, acidic or alkaline solutions, but not to solvents, oils, or fuels. It has no effect on polyurethane foam, polyethylene, or glass wool.

Application

• Designed for sealing horizontal and vertical expansion joints.
• Sealing defects in waterproofing membranes and special areas such as corners, gutters, etc.
• Spot bonding and fixing of bitumen shingles.
• Sealing cracks in concrete, plaster, or brick.
• Adhesion and fixing of thermal insulation boards on vertical surfaces.
• Not recommended for joints exposed to road applications where elastomeric bitumen mastic is applicable.

Composition

Composed of modified bitumen, solvents, elastomers, plasticizers, inorganic fibers, and fillers.
