General Description:
Coat 6S is a highly functional elastic bitumen emulsion for waterproofing horizontal and vertical surfaces of most building materials, in particular concrete elements.
Coat 6S provides a durable elastic waterproofing film with excellent adhesion. Due to its elasticity, the resulting coating covers all existing cracks on the surface and is able to overcome any future cracks.
The product is easy to apply, does not contain organic solvents and can be diluted with water.
Application:
Coat 6S is used alone or reinforced with glass mesh or polyester to waterproof and protect horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces - flat roofs, terraces, wet rooms, exterior walls, foundations and underground concrete structures. It can also be used as a vapor barrier, as well as for protection against carbonization of concrete structures.
Coat 6S is also used to renew old bituminous waterproofing membranes.
Coat 6S is compatible with concrete, lightweight concrete, asbestos cement, brick, stone, metal, polyurethane, polystyrene and plasterboard.
Composition:
Coat 6S is a bituminous emulsion based on enriched bitumen, synthetic latex, resins, etc.
Application Method:
A) Substrate Preparation:
The surface should be cleaned of dust, oil and other substances. Coat 6S can be applied on damp (not wet) surface.
B) Application:
Coat 6S is applied by brush, roller or gun in a minimum of two coats. For priming the surface, Coat 6S is diluted with water to 50%. For each subsequent coat, Coat 6S is diluted with up to 30% water. Each coat is applied directly on top of the previous coat after the last coat has dried. To increase the mechanical properties of the membrane, glass mesh or polyester can be used as reinforcement, which is placed between the two subsequent layers.
If Coat 6S is used for waterproofing external surfaces exposed to sunlight, it is recommended to apply a protective layer of UV-resistant bituminous-aluminum paint to create a sun-reflective barrier.
Do not apply Coat 6S at ambient temperatures below 5o C .
