E4 – Telephone

Road sign E4 belongs to Group E “Informational and guidance signs” and indicates the presence of a public telephone or a telephone service area near the road. It informs drivers and pedestrians about the possibility of communication in case of emergencies, including road accidents.

The sign is placed at an appropriate distance before the telephone point, providing sufficient time to orient and stop safely if needed.

Visually, the sign is a blue square with a white telephone handset symbol in the center.
